Important Conference Update

Due to the widely reported government shutdown, the CT Council on Problem Gambling has been informed that the Luncheon Speaker and those individuals scheduled to participate as Panel members in the discussion will be unable to do so. As a result and in conjunction with the New Haven Vet Center and the State of CT Office of Veterans Affairs we are pleased to announce the creation of a panel addressing addiction issues among veterans.

The new panel “Working with Veterans: Treating Addiction and the Recovery Process” is an important addition to our program that should not be missed.

about the conference

The conference is a one day event, held at the Omni New Haven Hotel. This is located in the heart of New Haven, CT, providing easy access from I91/I95 and ample convenient parking. For us at CCPG, the new venue is extremely exciting because it allows us to accommodate increased attendance.

Over the years, participants at our conference have included professionals in the fields of mental health, addictions, public health, criminal justice, and more. The Recovery Community and those impacted by the gambler's behavior are also a major part of those who attend. We are pleased and welcome their participation.

CCPG's goal is to further prevention, treatment, research and education efforts across the state. We accomplish this goal by making sure those who are in need of treatment or those who are impacted by problem gambling know where to go for help.
